2009 Boston Marathon or th 113th Boston Marathon, a 26.2-mile route from Hopkinton to Copley Square was held today with more than 26,000 runners from all over 50 states and 60 countries participated in the race. Salina Kosgei, 32, of Kenya won the women’s division with finishing time of 2 hours, 32 minutes and 16 seconds. While Deriba Merga, 29, of Ethiopia won the men’s division in with finishing time of 2:08:42. American Ryan Hall finished third in the men’s race.
