America has chosen the Top 9 finalists who will move on to the next round of American Idol season 8. But the cake is not complete without the icing. That’s why a Wild Card Round tonight has completed the 4 remaining spots on the Top 13 list. Yeah, you’ve read it right! 13 finalists will battle it out this season. 8 wild card contestants consists of Von Smith, Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Megan Joy Corkrey, Tatiana Del Toro, Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth and Anoop Desai performed their way to win the 4 judges votes. Finally, American Idol Judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell has spoken. The 4 judges agreed and chosen these 3 to complete the set of Top 13 finalists. Here are the 4 Wild Card winners tonight.
1. Jasmine Murray, 16-year-old high school student from Starkville, Mississippi. She sang “Reflection” by Christina Aguilera.
2. Megan Corkrey, 22-year-old font designer and a mother of a 2-year-old boy from Sandy, Utah. She sang “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” by KT Tunstall.
3. Matt Giraud, 23-year-old piano player who sings and plays in local clubs and hotels Kalamazoo, Michigan. He sang “Who’s Loving You” by Jackson 5.
4. Anoop “Dog” Desai, 21-year-old master’s degree student at the University of North Carolina. He sang “My Prerogative” by Bobby Brown/Britney Spears.
