President Barack Obama has ordered the U.S. government to suspend prosecutions of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay for 120 days. He will sign three executive orders on Thursday, to close the detainee camp at the Guantanamo Bay military facility within a year and to establish new rules and guidelines on interrogation methods and the treatment of detainees.
