President-elect Barack Obama will take the oath of office and become the 44th President of the United States on January 20. The 1.7 mile inaugural parade route, from the Capitol to the White House, will open to the public at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Thousands of spectators will line the parade route as the new President and Vice President are escorted from the Capitol to the White House by over 13,000 parade participants. Inaugural Parade Tickets that went on sale Friday afternoon for 5,000 bleacher seats along the inaugural parade route sold out in less than one minute.
