Dec. 26 has become more than a day for consumers to return well-intentioned but unwanted gifts. Many stores open early and offer doorbuster specials, catering to recipients of holiday gift cards as well as shoppers looking to treat themselves. This year, whopping pre-Christmas sales have not done enough to sway shoppers to spend.

•Sears will offer up to 75% off on electronics and 50% off on Craftsman tool storage chests. Kmart will add 40% off to clearance items, already marked down 30%.
•Toys R Us circulars in newspapers Thursday will bill the day after Christmas as the “biggest” after-holiday sale with deals including an $81.99 race car set for $19.99 and table games, originally $239.99, for $131.99.
•Crate & Barrel has savings of up to 70%.
•J.C. Penney stores open at 5:30 a.m. with 70% off jewelry.
•Guilford Art Center holds its annual Artistry On the Shoreline Post-Holiday Sale of fine American crafts and art.
•Blumen Laden’s 39th Annual Christmas Half-Price Sale starts Friday and runs through Jan. 31. Discounted merchandise includes arrangements, wreaths, garlands, Christmas trees, ornaments, candle rings, holiday ribbon, picks and Bethany Lowe collectibles. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
•Target or Super Target is a great place to shop. Target usually has discount from 60-70% on everything from clothing, Christmas decorations, and groceries. 139 Flatbush Ave

•Macy’s is very good with sales and discounts all year round, but during after Christmas is where the real mark-downs come into action. You could save up to 60-80% on things for the home, and of course clothing. •Barnes&Noble is also having great sales on all of their great books, DVDs, toys, video games, journals, calendars and albums for half off. Walmart will have sixty dollars saving on HDTVs and discounts on home and office supplies. KB Toys will be having a liquidation sale and they’re closing the store so you will want to buy from them since it’ll be very low price. The sales will be forty percent off most items.
•Kohl will be having a clearance from 60-80 percent sales on clothing for men, women, and children. Bath and Body Works will be having half off sales on body lotions, shower gels, hand creams, and fragrances. Circuit City sales will go to the New Year. There will be big discounts on most merchandise like TV, digital cameras, home theater, computers, musics, movies, and games.
