
World Health Organization (WHO) warned against claims that electronic cigarettes are a legitimate therapy for smokers trying to quit. Dr Ala Alwan, Assistant Director-General of WHO’s Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health Cluster said that there is no scientific evidence to confirm the product’s safety and efficacy. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is also investigating this e-cigarettes that look real and give smokers a hit of real nicotine.
Electronic Cigarette (E-Cigarette or E-Cig) is a battery-operated replica of a real cigarette providing small amounts of the chemical nicotine with each inhalation. There’s no flame, no smoke, no tar, and no tobacco. This stainless steel device was developed in China and even comes in flavors like cherry, chocolate and mint.
