here’s the complete story behind that event. they partied after receiving the news that Ely is fine.

The crowd gathered at the underground dive Saguijo in Makati, to celebrate. Saguijo was supposed to have been the site of the after-party, and in a way the crowd that assembled was there to release the bottled up tension from the evening and to celebrate the news that Ely was doing fine.”

the “gig” in saguijo is the concert’s supposed after party. i think planado na yun from the start and they first made sure that Ely is in good condition bago mag-after party.

hindi naman siguro sila makakatugtog dyan kung ang balita sa kanila ay kritikal pa rin ang kundisyon ni ely.

as raimund said in the sandwich mailing list, they were still on a high sa concert kaya siguro they contunued on playing the set list. its understandable naman. plus celebration na din na ok si ely.

i don’t see anything wrong with it, i’m a huge ely buendia fan and i like him more than any other ‘heads pero i understand where raimund was coming from. i’m sure kung hindi naputol yung concert ely would also be there. and siguro naman maiintindihan nya kung bakit natuloy pa rin yung after party. after all, the concert was still a success kahit na naputol and best of all is ely is in good condition after his third angioplasty.

yep,successang concert.pero kung may malasakit k s dati mong kabanda na dati mo din naging kaibigan e mas maganda kung sumaglit k muna s hospital bago kayo magsaya.

walang masama jan and i think matutuwa pa si ely kasi sinelebrate ang paka-ok na nya.. at wala cguro masama if kumanta cla kahit na hospitalized si ely, im sure even him would undertsand the bitin factor of an artist.

walang allowed dumalaw sa ospital nung mga oras na yon according sa news. and besides kahit na ano pa sigurong sabihin ng kahit na sino dito you have your own opinion/belief over what happened.

i’m sure may malasakit silang lahat kay ely dahil matagal ang pinagsamahan nila. kahit na ano pang naging away nila noon kahit papano siguro napatawad na nila ang isa’t isa. sabi nga ni ely, “they tried to tell us we’re too old…” and that’s true. we’re old enough to accept things like these. at ang mga musicians naglalabas ng kahit anong nararamdaman (lungkot, saya, galit, etc) nila sa musika kaya understandable yung nangyari.

kung may part 2 man ang concert i think ok lang sa die hard fans na tulad natin na magbayad ng mahal. kahit ano pang sabihin ng iba sulit na sulit ang ibabayad natin dahil makikita natin ulit silang magkakasama sa isang stage.

I find nothing wrong with this. True, Ely was in the hospital but that doesn’t mean that his friends and the rest of the world should stop having fun. Buhay pa naman si Ely. Kung namatay siya that’s another story.

BTW, buti na lang di kami natuloy sa concert. Salamat sa Coke Light!
