Tips For Newbies, Monetizing Your Blog Through Sponsored/Paid Reviews
They say that one of the easiest ways to monetize your blog is to write sponsored/paid reviews. All you have to do is to register your blog to a sponsored/paid review site and then you can start earning once your blog has been approved. But before you register your blog to any sponsored/paid review sites, you need to know or consider these 3 pointers.
- First, your blog must be 3 months old or older with more than 50 entries or posts. Blogging platform such as blogger/blogspot, myspace.com, xanga.com, livejournal.com, i.ph and vox.com except free blog from wordpress.com are accepted by these sponsored/paid review sites. Having your own domain name is a “must” because you can have more oppurtunities compare to a subdomain. On my experience, I’ve earned 70% more on my own domain rather than my subdomain blog. I don’t know what’s their reasons but most advertisers prefers a blog with own domain to review their products or sites.
- Second, your blog must have a page rank from google. Blogs with 1/10, 2/10, 3/10 google page rank earn less compare to a blog with 4/10 or higher page rank. Why? Because the price of an oppurtunity will depend on your blog’s page rank. You can sit back and relax if you have a 4/10 or higher page rank while those who has lower page rank have to wait on a sponsored/paid review site’s market place. So before you register your blog, make sure it has a higher page rank. How you can achieve this page rank? You can earn points to achieve this google page rank by exchanging links, do some tags or meme, put up a contest linking to your site and posting your url to a forums site.(make sure it’s a “dofollow” link). By the way, google penalize a blogger by giving them a lower or 0/10 page rank once they caught his/her blog has sponsored/paid posts. You can prolong your page rank by putting away any sponsored/paid review sites widget on your blog.(Thanks to ambo for this info). So keep the fire burning before google slaps you!lol!
- Third, Alexa rankings and Technorati Authority. Your blog needs a high alexa ranking. Some sponsored/paid review sites checks your site popularity through alexa. You can generate high alexa ranking by registering your blog to entrecard.com, using SEO and posting relevant comments in a blog post/entry. While you can generate technorati authority by exchanging links, do some tags or meme, put up a contest linking to your site and posting your url to a forums site.(make sure it’s a “dofollow” link).
Once you attained these 3 pointers then your ready to register your blog to any sponsored/paid review sites such as buy blog reviews, Linkworth, payperpost, reviewme, sponsor reviews, smorty, payu2blog, blogsvertise, socialsparks. hi po, that’s great info. have a blog, too but it’s only a month old. have to wait pa pala for two more months. and one more thing, how will i know my page ranking?

Very informative post and this is indeed very true… it is not that easy to earn from blogging… also remember that changing from free domain to a custom domain will also be painful since it will reset all of your stats.

sir, thanks sa post nyo, galing =) tanong lang po ako ng tips kung pano nyo ginawa tong site na to, like nacustomize nyo kasi yung hitsura. manual nyo po ba code tong site? or may mga tools na kayo ginamit? bago lang din ako sa blogging and di gaano maalam sa webprogramming. thanks =)
