Tawilis Sardines In Corn Oil is made by Family Farm School in Lipa City and costs P100.00/bottle. Tawilis (Sardinella tawilis) also known as “tunsoy” in Cebu is the only fresh water sardine in the world and it can only be found in Taal Lake, Batangas. Tawilis is now endangered and the survival of this sardine is threatened by fishing using active gears and the thousands of fish cages now litter the lake.
