Voodoo Envy 133 is as thin and speedy as the Air, and it even improves on some of the Air’s shortcomings, like having a user-upgradable battery and better connectivity ports. It features a 1.6 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and an 80 GB, 4200 RPM HDD (low end) and a a 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, Windows Vista Business Edition and a 64 GB SSD, bringing the total to $3400 (high end). The Envy 133’s dimensions (9 by 12.7 by 0.7 inches, HWD) are thinner than those of the Air (8.9 by 12.8 by 0.7 inches, HWD) at its thickest part.
The Envy is built on a Centrino CPU with your choice of Intel Core 2 Duo SP7700 (1.8GHz) or SP7500 (1.6 GHz) with 4 MB L2 Cache, and 800 MHz FSB. It has carbon-fiber case, a power brick that doubles as a wireless access point (Aura PowerConnect), and an instant-on feature that allows users to browse the web and make Skype calls without booting to Windows (Voodoo IO).
