Honda Asimo robot conducted the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and performed “The Impossible Dream” from the Broadway musical Man of La Mancha to a packed hall of music lovers and students last May 15, 2008. Honda also provided a gift of more than $1M to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to promote and support The Power of Dreams Music Education Fund.
ASIMO stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility and has been developed by Honda to help advance robotics to the point where it can someday assist the elderly and disabled in their homes.
