Today is the anniversary of the World Health Organization, commemorating its 60th year of unflinching commitment to the establishment of global health.
In this year, World Health Day focuses on the need to protect health from the adverse effects of climate change. The theme for this year has been chosen keeping in view the rising consciousness of the effects of climate change on human health.
World health Day was created in 1948 by the First World Health Assembly to mark the founding of the World Health Organization. World Health Day takes place on 7 April annually and serves to raise awareness of key global public health challenges.
