Six ROBONOVA-1 performed a special christmas dance last thursday to celebrate the last festival of the year in Hong Kong. Wearing christmas hats, the robonova -1 dancers performed somersaults, handstands and gymnastic movements as Christmas music played. Peter Chow (Programmer and Director of Cyber Robotics Technology Limited) and a group of programmers in Hong Kong took three months to design the dancing programme for the Korean-made robots.
ROBONOVA-1 can walk, run, do flips, cartwheels, dance moves and once programmed. The robot has 18 joints, which can do complicated movements. Beginners to robot programming will be pleased to use the RoboScript programming software supplied with the Hitec Robonova-1 Ready to Walk with Roboremocon. Without knowing any programming language at all, users can create operational subroutines with the “click of a mouse”.RoboBasic is a programming tool based on the BASIC programming language and is provided for more advanced users.
Using RoboScript or RoboBasic, just move the robot into any position and click the mouse to “capture” that position. Move the robot into another position and repeat the process. The software then links these “captured” positions and once activated, smoothly transitions the robots movements through these programmed positions. The Robonova-1 selling price US$1,299.00
