This video was an interview on Josh Hartnett’s movie “30 Days of Night.” by Jimmy Kimmel on his show Jimmy Kimmel Live. He kept on talking how ignorant we are as filipino’s rather than asking about the movie. He said we filipino’s can not speak or read english, etc. But the irony of what he said was he was never been here in our country. This kind of incident happend before when Terry Hatcher (actress) insulted medical schools here in the philippines. She said on the show (Desperate Housewives) that she wants to see the doctor’s diploma first to make sure that it was not faked and neither came from some medical schools here in the philippines. Doctors and filipino’s in the USA protests on what she said. They were asking for a public apology and cut the line from that episode. Anyway it was said and done. Until now racial descrimination still exists. All I can say is we filipino’s knows ourselves better than you do. We’re competitive and hospitable person in or out of our country. We showcase our very best to fill in the needs as quickly as possible. FYI: Korean students choose to study english language here in the philippines rather than the countries where that language originated. Most american call centers are here in our country. So what the heck, this issue does’nt bother us. It helps us to be more competent on everything that we do. If insulting filipino’s on your show will increase your network ratings, so be it.
